Coconut Sugar is one of the healthiest types of natural sweetener, made by evaporating the nectar harvested from the coconut palm flower. Coconut sugar is rich in flavor with a hint of caramel sweetness, and resembles brown sugar. It has an unbeatable high nutritional content which includes essential minerals, vitamins and amino acids. Coconut Sugar is considered to be a low Glycemic Index food (GI 35 versus 50 for cane sugar). Coconut sugar can be used as a direct substitute for white & brown sugar in cooking, baking, and in beverages.
